MOVEmber

BeardEvery year, my husband participates in Movember.  Movember is a beard-growing contest that runs through the month of November to support men’s health.  He who grows the most (or most interesting) facial hair during this time wins!

If you’re reading this post, you probably aren’t seeking tips for hair growth.  You are reading this for easy and effective weight loss tips.

Weight loss during the holidays is certainly not easy.  Cookies, cake and pie, oh my!  The average American gains 5 pounds in the last two months of the year.  Where do you fit in that statistic?

Instead of Mo-vember, I challenge you to begin MOVE-mber this holiday season.  From now until the end of the month, your goal will be to find more ways to move.  Whether it is counting steps, doing a dance party at home, or lifting weights, the trick is to find fun and easy ways to incorporate movement into your day.

Need some help?  Visit my Pinterest board for suggestions on do-anywhere exercises that require minimal (or no) equipment that you can do at home, the office, or even on vacation!  Most exercises can be done in 10 minutes or less.  Use whatever method inspires you the most!  The more you can get your whole family involved, the more fun you will all have.

Remember, the most important part of any challenge is to track your progress.  You may also decide to take pictures of your activities.  If you do, pin them to the Move-mber board.
